Franca AI Tourism Assistant

The challenge

Tourism decisions in Patagonia depend on changing conditions and scattered information. A generic chatbot is not enough: recommendations need local context, current data and clear limits when evidence is missing.

The approach

Franca is an AI tourism assistant for Puerto Madryn. Through WhatsApp, it combines conversational AI with weather and marine forecasts, tides, daylight, wildlife-season rules and a curated catalogue of local providers. The response layer turns those sources into concise, direct guidance instead of exposing raw data.

Product work

I worked across positioning, conversational design, prompt evaluation, tool orchestration, catalogue structure, WhatsApp integration and production operations. The system separates verified data from generated language and is designed to avoid inventing prices, dates or conditions when a source is unavailable.
